Mission

EVA works to improve the educational system and daycare for children. This is done using tools such as evaluations, analyses and other tools that contribute to developing the quality of the education system.

EVA wants to be the leading and preferred player in Denmark. EVA also wants to be acknowledged internationally within the fields of evaluation, quality assurance and quality development of education and daycare.

Therefore we have the following ambitions:

EVA wants to set the agenda

• to be a strong and prominent knowledge centre that brings well-founded knowledge into the public debate and sets the agenda for evaluation of, and quality within, education and daycare. 
• to actively contribute to ensuring interaction and dialogue between researchers, policy makers and practitioners.

EVA wants to be innovative

• to develop new methods for evaluation and quality assurance purposes; methods that meet international standards and that support the quality development processes used by institutions and education programmes themselves.
• to give inspiration and advice to Danish education environments on the basis of the most recent national and international knowledge within evaluation and quality assurance.

EVA wants to be useful for its users

• to develop user-oriented evaluations and analyses, taking the needs of the relevant target group into consideration.  
• to carry out capacity-building activities where we convert knowledge into action to the benefit of early-childhood teachers, other teachers, managers, authorities, organisations and other education-policy players.

EVA wants to be an attractive and efficient workplace

• to be a workplace where focus is on professionalism and job satisfaction, and where there is room for diversity.
