There is a long-standing tradition in Danish day care to take children's interests into account when organising pedagogical activities. In this note EVA looks into the possibilities of including the children's perspectives in evaluations.

This note is founded in studies of primarily Danish literature in the field. It outlines the changed view upon children's rights and competences to talk about their own lives and it provides an account of the general methodical challenges and ethical problems connected with including children's perspectives in evaluations and studies.

The note is concluded with a review of specific data-collection methods and a discussion of their usefulness
